The Spirit of Giving Fund was established to respond to the urgent needs of communities devastated by Hurricane Harvey. 
Throughout the crisis, H-E-B received an outpouring of monetary donations from people and organizations that wanted to help.
 


With a history of providing aid in times of difficulty, H-E-B placed the donations in the fund and used the contributions to directly benefit people and communities affected by the storm. Since then, the fund has been activated to help with other emergencies such as the tragedy in Sutherland Springs.

The fund continues to assist with ongoing recovery efforts, providing aid such as home replacement and rebuilding projects, financial support, food contributions, and relief for other unforeseen issues or circumstances.
